A sharp reader is going to notice something here, so let me get ahead of it. I played a little trick on you at the beginning of this piece. Did you catch it? The diffusion problem is real, but it was never really about crossing your body head to toe. That part is handled by plumbing, not physics. Your blood is pumped. It doesn't wander there on its own, and it was never supposed to. The actual mystery is smaller and weirder than the number I gave you. It's not about the trip. It's about the landing. Getting the pea and the carrot to find each other at exactly the right angle, dock, and hold, ten million times a second, without missing, that's the part the lock-and-key model never explains, because a shape sitting still in a textbook diagram doesn't reach out and grab anything. Something has to close that last, tiny gap on purpose. That's the field.

But there's something stranger underneath that, and I have to be honest, it isn't proven. It's speculative, right at the edge of what anyone can currently defend. Still, the science is inching toward the idea that your body might be running a second, faster system underneath the nervous system entirely, not molecules, not even electricity in a wire, but light.

Here's what's actually out there on that front. Living tissue genuinely emits a faint, measurable trickle of light. Nobody disputes that part; the debate is what it means. In 2016 a physicist and a neuroscientist published a detailed theoretical model proposing that myelin, the fatty sheath wrapped around nerve fibers, could act as a literal fiber-optic waveguide, since its refractive index is higher than the tissue around it. They laid out real experiments to test it. Ten years later, nobody's run them. A smaller group of researchers has pushed the same logic into fascia specifically, arguing its liquid-crystal structure lets it carry these signals body-wide, and one recent paper frames the whole myofascial network as something closer to a semiconductor, a second communication layer under the nerves. So the fascia guess isn't just mine, I'm in real company here, just not mainstream company. The wall nobody's gotten past is simple: no one has ever found a confirmed receiver, something in living tissue that catches these photons and does anything with them. Until somebody finds this system's version of the bird's cryptochrome, "the light is a signal" and "the light is just exhaust" are both still standing.

One of the things I find most fascinating is that biology appears increasingly less like a collection of isolated parts and more like a dynamically coordinated process. Whether we're talking about cellular signaling, nervous-system regulation, or whole-body adaptation, life seems to depend as much on relationships and organization as on individual components. The more we study living systems, the more the question shifts from *"What are we made of?"* to *"How is such extraordinary coherence maintained?"* That, to me, is where some of the deepest scientific and philosophical questions begin.

I found your article fascinating because it intersects with an experience I've never been able to explain.

After a kundalini awakening in 2020, I began noticing something unusual whenever I'm in direct sunlight or bright indoor light. I consistently see what appears to be a shimmering, rainbow-like field emanating from my face—almost holographic in appearance. The experience has remained unchanged for the past several years.

I've searched for explanations and spoken with many people, but I haven't found anyone who describes seeing the same thing.

I don't know what it is. My current hypothesis is that I'm perceiving some aspect of the body's energetic field.

Your article made me wonder whether perception itself is more flexible than we assume, and whether shifts in consciousness can sometimes reveal aspects of experience that normally remain outside our awareness.

I'm curious whether anyone else has had a similar experience, or whether there's another explanation I haven't considered.

Gotcha. Seeing rainbows has been an acknowledged side effect of high spiritual awareness for a long time now. Tibetan masters who master physical dissolution have been observed to leave rainbows behind them. Among pioneers of the opening doors of psychedelic assistance rainbows are a humorous cliche because everybody sees them eventually. The forerunners to the fifth dimension of our impending separation of worlds frequently experience rainbow effects heavy on irridescent purple ~ there's even a new word for the shade, though I've forgotten it. You might see your skin sparkle too ~ indicative of crystaline body activation 👌

Regarding the coherence of water, are you familiar with the work of Dr. Masako Emoto? Past the crystaline variations (which are astonishing enough in themselves!) later in his career he turned water to individualized medicines, and even programmed it successfully to help cleanse bodies of water into which it was released...

Yes I am. Unfortunately much of his work is not considered serious science by the mainstream... but it remains interesting to me none-the-less.... there other fringe "researchers" doing some cool stuff in that direction as well... Veda Austin comes to mind. Perhaps one day that stuff will be validated. For now I classify it as interesting but fringe.
