What fascinates me is that we rarely build just one mask. We build layers of them, each adapted to a different environment, until we forget which one was originally meant to protect us and which one has simply become habit.

The turning point isn't tearing the mask off overnight. It's becoming curious enough to ask: *Who would I be if I no longer needed this version of myself to stay safe?*

That question alone can begin changing the nervous system.

I took the mask test. Couldn’t finish. Most of the prompts didn’t seem to apply to me. Don’t know what that means but its a good article for reinforcing what’s already going on in me.
