This really resonated. One thing I've come to appreciate is that "Who hurt you?" isn't always an accusation. It can be an invitation to understand the protective strategies a person had to develop. But healing begins when we stop asking only who hurt us and start asking, "What part of me is still living as if that hurt is happening now?" That's where the past begins to loosen its grip.
